What We Collect
Vercel Analytics — If you accept cookies, we collect anonymous page-view analytics via Vercel Analytics. This includes page URLs, referrer, browser type, and country. No personal identifiers are collected. Analytics data is processed by Vercel in accordance with their privacy policy.
Server logs — Standard web server logs (IP address, request URL, timestamp) are retained by our hosting provider for operational purposes.
What We Don’t Collect
We do not require accounts, collect email addresses, store personal information, or track your location. There is no user registration or login.
Cookies & Local Storage
- tkp-cookie-consent (localStorage) — Stores your cookie consent choice. Essential.
- tkp-launch (localStorage) — Remembers your preferred launch point. Functional.
- Vercel Analytics cookies — Set only if you accept analytics cookies. Used for anonymous page view tracking.
Third-Party APIs
We fetch tide data from the UKHO Admiralty Tidal API and weather data from Open-Meteo. These requests are made server-side — no user data is sent to these providers.
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained per Vercel’s retention policy. We do not store any user data server-side beyond standard hosting logs.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold. Since we do not collect personal data beyond server logs, there is typically nothing to erase. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site.
